Job Responsibilities
As a social pedagogue at our residential care home (HVB), you will work with youth focusing on their development by providing care, treatment, support, and security. Together with your colleagues, you will provide motivating and supportive interventions to the children/youth in their daily lives. This means you will be involved in all aspects concerning the young person, such as working with a network of professionals as well as family, relatives, and friends.
If you work during the day, the shifts are scheduled on weekdays and weekends:
7 AM - 4:30 PM
11 AM - 9 PM
12 PM - 10 PM
The working hours may vary somewhat based on the operations. We are also looking for staff for awake night shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:15 AM.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an ongoing or completed academic education focused on children and youth, social work, behavioral science, social pedagogy, treatment pedagogy, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. Previous experience in social work is advantageous, especially experience working with children and youth or in treatment work. A B driver's license and experience with manual transmission are required.
It is also advantageous, but not a requirement, if you have training in any of the following areas:

- Criminality as a Lifestyle
- Low-Affect Approach
- Network Leadership
- Training in other methods related to working with children and youth
Since the work involves a lot of communication, documentation, and conversation, we want you to have a very good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships. You listen, show interest and understanding for others, and are open and work to create a good climate. You possess a flexibility that allows you to adapt to different situations and changing circumstances. The position also requires you to be proactive and able to act to ensure that tasks are completed. Furthermore, you need to be able to follow guidelines and routines, keep to schedules, and meet the legal obligations and safety requirements associated with your position.

The HVB operations target youth aged 13-18 (21) years who need care, structure, and security, or young people in need of treatment for psychosocial issues, emerging substance abuse, mental health problems, or norm-breaking behavior.

Information about the Position
Employment type: Vacation substitute on schedule + hourly employment
Start date: Vacation substitute during June-August, you need to be able to work at least 2 weeks and preferably all shifts according to the example above. There is an opportunity to start working hours during the spring.
