About the Job

The FUT group works to detect, prevent, and investigate incorrect payments within social assistance.

The mission aims to safeguard legal certainty, equal treatment, and trust in the welfare system.

The work is both investigative and preventive. The group receives reports and tips about suspected incorrect payments, conducts preliminary assessments, and carries out investigations. The assignment includes making decisions about recovery and, when deemed relevant, filing police reports, as well as advancing the process through voluntary payments or by having the recovery established in court.

An important part of the group's work is the preventive perspective. The FUT group contributes to reducing the risk of incorrect payments through capacity-building measures for regular caseworkers within social assistance, as well as ongoing support in the form of, for example, drop-in sessions and dialogue regarding cases. Collaboration and information exchange with other authorities and actors is a central part of the work and an area that is continuously developing.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will have operational leadership responsibility for the FUT group. You will provide methodological support to caseworkers in the investigative and preventive work, distribute cases, follow up on work, and be responsible for creating structure and good conditions in daily work. You will manage the inflow and queue of cases and ensure that the work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, case law, and guidelines.

Your role also includes being a qualified support to the unit manager in matters related to statistics, follow-up, and quality control of investigations and cases. You will regularly participate in the individual committee to raise cases concerning compensation claims.

The assignment requires very good knowledge of legislation and case law within social assistance, social services, administrative law, as well as public access and confidentiality legislation, including provisions for breaking confidentiality. You also play an important role in supporting regular caseworkers and Senior Social Workers within social assistance in matters concerning FUT.

The role involves balancing methodological support, leadership, and operational parts in an area that is changing. This requires structure, judgment, and a willingness to continuously stay updated and develop work methods and collaboration.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be offered external process guidance, flexible working hours, the possibility of remote work, and support from the unit manager. You will become part of a specialized workgroup with close collaboration and shared responsibility for the assignment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and previous/current experience in social assistance. It is an advantage if you have prior experience working with incorrect payments.

An important part of being able to provide methodological support, lead, and guide the workgroup is that you have a good knowledge of applicable legislation and case law within social assistance and social services. Particularly regarding legislation and practice concerning recovery according to the Social Services Act and provisions for breaking confidentiality.

To succeed in this role, you need to be socially secure and confident in your professional role. You easily establish trusting relationships and can meet various professions and perspectives with respect and clarity. You are communicative and express yourself well in both speech and writing, and can adapt your communication based on the audience and context.

You have a pedagogical ability and enjoy supporting, explaining, and developing others' work methods, both in daily methodological support and in more formal contexts. You have a good overall perspective and can see how individual cases, work processes, and collaboration are interconnected in a larger context, focusing on legal certainty and quality.

Furthermore, you are structured and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on work in a way that creates clarity and sustainability for both the group and the assignment.
