Job Responsibilities

The unit is divided into four teams: reception team, violence team, child team, and youth team. The reception team receives reports and applications regarding new cases in the unit and also acts as an advisory body to, for example, preschools and schools when there is concern for children and youth. The child team, youth team, and violence team investigate, make decisions, and follow up on decided interventions based on various types of issues, such as lack of care at home, relationship issues, and criminality. The unit also employs four experienced senior social workers who lead their respective teams in the daily work of the unit and are responsible for providing close and regular methodological support.

You will work in one of our investigation teams with authority and case management mainly based on SoL and LVU. We have a strong focus on approach, our clients' participation, and ensuring that documentation is carried out securely and clearly. We also place great importance on our collaboration with the Advice and Support Unit, where outpatient care and the municipality's family therapists are organized, but we also collaborate closely with colleagues in other parts of Social Services, such as the Family Unit, Adult Unit, and Financial Support Unit. Other important partners are preschools and schools.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has an equivalent education that meets the eligibility requirements to perform certain tasks in social services for children and youth. We prefer that you have experience in authority exercise within the relevant area. It is important that you have good organizational skills and can express yourself well and nuanced in speech and writing. Important personal qualities are the ability to collaborate, willingness to develop, the ability to see things from multiple perspectives, the ability to prioritize among tasks, and the ability to work independently. Based on our target group, we expect you to have a strong child perspective as the foundation of your work. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license is a requirement.
