Description
We are now looking for a social worker with a role as a job coach for our dedicated, competent, and experienced team within the authority unit Centrum Unga.
As a job coach within support for persons with disabilities, you will work with individuals who belong to group 1 or 2 according to LSS who have or are applying for daily activities. The assignment aims to strengthen the individual's opportunities for participation, independence, and meaningful employment.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with social workers and management based on the unit's mission and the City of Gothenburg's approach. The Centrum Unga unit consists of a unit manager, two senior social workers, eleven social workers, and two job coaches. We are located together with other authority units within the support center in pleasant premises on Första Långgatan.
Responsibilities
In the role of job coach, you have a central coordinating function where you guide and support individuals with disabilities regarding work, employment, and daily activities. The work is done in close collaboration with your job coach colleague, social workers, service providers, and other internal and external actors.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Guiding and supporting the individual before, during, and after decisions regarding daily activities.
- Collaborating with social workers and participating in meetings with the individual, representatives, and other professionals.
- Coordinating contacts, meetings, and study visits, as well as supporting choices or changes of daily activities.
- Initiating and developing collaboration with other actors, such as high schools, the Employment Service, and the Social Insurance Agency.
- Handling administrative tasks related to the implementation of daily activities and contributing to the development of work methods through collaboration and environmental monitoring.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another equivalent higher education that the employer assesses as relevant for the assignment. Since the role involves close collaboration, qualified conversations, and documentation, there are requirements for a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. You should also have good knowledge of social work and an understanding of authority exercise within LSS.
It is a merit if you have experience working with individuals with disabilities. It is also positive if you have experience collaborating with other authorities and actors such as the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, educational institutions, and health care. If you have good knowledge of daily activities according to LSS, that is also a merit.
