We are now looking for a dedicated and confident support assistant with good pedagogical skills for Långströmsgatan's daily activities.

The operation is aimed at participants with autism and significant support needs. We believe that you who find it exciting to work in complex operations and with clear structure will thrive particularly well with us. The work may involve challenging situations, which requires a low-arousal approach and a good ability to work with clarifying pedagogy. Here you will work in a small team with four employees and four participants, as well as a support pedagogue who is present daily.

Daily activities are an intervention according to LSS and are always designed based on each participant's individual needs, with the goal of creating good living conditions and a meaningful everyday life. As a support assistant, you have a central role in the participants' day. You support, guide, and motivate in activities and work to ensure that each participant feels involved, secure, and enjoys their work. Together, we always put the participant at the center and adapt activities according to their resources, interests, and needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also fulfilled if you have a post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education points, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education points and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is a requirement that you have experience with LAB (low-arousal approach) and clarifying pedagogy.

You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.

You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You can see your work as part of a larger context and understand how it affects and is affected by other parts of the organization. You collaborate with others on overarching issues to create value. You take into account different sources of information and perspectives and can adapt others' ideas to your own operations.
