We need reinforcement! As a personal assistant in Vänersborg Municipality, you who appreciate variation and meeting different people will thrive. You will have colleagues with the same mission, and together with the unit manager and operations manager, you will have regular workplace meetings focused on the assignment.

We are looking for two new employees for permanent positions.

Job Responsibilities

You will work as a personal assistant at one or several different workplaces in the municipality.

The workplaces require different competencies, including autism, acquired brain injury, and intellectual disabilities.

In your work, you will support individuals in their daily lives with a strong focus on creating relationships and security in their lives and homes. You need to be comfortable working independently as you often work alone at the person's home. At the same time, good collaboration skills are important, as it is essential that we support each other and work towards decisions together in the staff groups.

As a personal assistant, you will work, together with the unit manager and operations manager, according to the goals and guidelines set for the operations. You will provide support in daily life based on the individuals' decisions and implementation plans through a professional approach, low-arousal attitude, and clear pedagogical methods. Collaboration with representatives and other professionals is part of the assignment.

The tasks of the personal assistant include:

  • providing support and care in close work with the individual
  • creating opportunities and conditions for communication
  • clarifying the individual's daily life
  • motivating the individual towards participation and independence
  • being familiar with guidelines and operational goals and being able to clarify them for the individual, relatives, and partners
  • developing and reflecting on daily work
  • seeking new knowledge
  • actively participating in meetings and spreading relevant information to colleagues
  • establishing/following up on implementation plans and creating goals
  • keeping social and health documentation in Lifecare
  • taking on specific responsibilities based on the needs of the operations
  • establishing/following operational routines and action plans together with the operations manager
  • reporting deviations and Lex Sarah
  • noticing the need for aids in APM
  • using aids according to instructions/delegation
  • following the routine for aids to ensure they are functional and cleaned
  • correct handling of medications according to delegation and medication orders
  • correct handling of private funds according to guidelines
  • collaborating with other professionals around the individuals, both in daily work and via quality teams

Qualifications

You should have a calm and reassuring demeanor, the ability to work independently, and a professional attitude. It is important to have the ability to reflect on your own approach, to have the desire and willingness to work according to proven methods, and to be flexible, attentive, and unpretentious.

You should have a positive view of people and be easy to collaborate with. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Solo work occurs. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends with on-call duties.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

As a personal assistant, you should have approved grades from the Care and Nursing Program or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social activities, or other education that the employer assesses to be equivalent.

Start date by agreement.
