About the Job

We are looking for someone with several years of experience working with children and youth within social services!

Reception 1, in the department of children and youth authority, offers a varied and meaningful job together with children and their families.

Our office is located in Hjällbo and the reception consists of ten social workers, two senior social workers, and a unit manager, which allows for close supervision and methodological guidance both in groups and individually.

The Children and Youth Reception 1 is characterized by broad expertise, a good working climate, and where employees and management have many years of experience. We work for the best interests of the child and have close and unpretentious collegial support.

We work based on SoL and LVU as well as the working method Children’s Needs in Focus (BBiC), Signs of Safety, current legislation, and in accordance with the current delegation order. We receive reports of concern and applications regarding children aged 0-17, meet families, and conduct risk and safety assessments regarding children's situations, as well as legally secure preliminary assessments as a basis for whether an investigation under the Social Services Act should be initiated or not. We also handle certain statements.

An important task is also to prevent misinformation by meeting those we are here for and other professionals in their arenas to create dialogue and provide accurate information about the work of social services. We provide good service, guide, and offer advice and support to those seeking contact with social services for children and their families, including private individuals, other professionals, and partners.

In the department of children and youth, various working time innovations are implemented. At the reception, we are currently testing smart efficient working time (SEAT), which means six hours a day in the office and, if the business allows, two hours of reflection time per day, with the aim of contributing to a more sustainable and healthy working life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and who has previous experience in authority work with children and youth. You have a particular interest in areas such as norm-breaking behavior, mental health, domestic violence, and children's rights and needs.

The Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equivalent and effective welfare with the opportunity to live safe and independent lives.
