Administrative Employee (Driver/Caretaker) for Sweden's NATO Representation in Brussels

As a dispatched administrative employee (driver/caretaker), your main task will be to plan, coordinate, and manage the representation's car pool, including handling service, bookings, and more. The position means you will be the ambassador's driver, and you will also be responsible for the logistical flow before and during high-level visits, in close collaboration with those responsible for each principal (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence, or the Armed Forces). As a caretaker, you will be responsible for internal administration within restricted access areas. Other administrative tasks may arise. Work outside regular hours may occur.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with relevant driver training. A Class B driver's license (manual) is a basic requirement. Protective driver training is an advantage. You have excellent IT skills and experience in providing administrative support. You also have a pronounced service mindset, organizational skills, and attention to detail, and can work both independently and in a team. You communicate well in spoken and written Swedish and English. Relevant work experience from the Government Offices or other Swedish authorities is an advantage, as well as basic knowledge of French.

Your Qualities

As a driver/caretaker, you need to have integrity, be stable, independent, cooperative, and resilient. You should be able to work independently and take your own initiatives to drive the work forward. Good judgment is a central quality, as well as adaptability and flexibility. You find it easy to establish contacts and collaborate with other actors. You follow the ethical guidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are a good representative of Sweden.

Other Information

Start date June 1, 2026, or by agreement. Fixed-term employment for two years, with a possible extension.

The position is classified and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision. You must be a Swedish citizen and registered in Sweden. Some training may need to be conducted in Sweden before the start date.
