The Individual and Family Care Administration is in an exciting phase where the operations are changing and expanding to meet the needs of the residents of Borås. We now offer an exciting opportunity to participate in the development of social services in Borås and are looking for someone who wants to work within the assessed open care for Children and Families. In the role of family therapist, you will work with your colleagues in your team to create good conditions for children and young people to grow up in safe and good environments. Dialogcentrum offers needs-based open care interventions to families with children and young people up to 18 years old who reside in Borås City. The operations are organized into two competence-based teams, each led by a method supervisor. Our interventions are tailored to varying needs and can be provided both in acute situations and as long-term support. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other departments within the administration as well as with external partners. Family Therapist at Dialogcentrum

As a family therapist, you will work with treatment assignments on behalf of social workers, where the starting point is always the child's needs. Your main task is to conduct qualified and structured change work together with families in need of support. You will work from a systemic theoretical approach and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You are motivated by varied tasks and meet each family based on their unique circumstances, where the child's needs guide the planning and implementation of the interventions.

The work is varied and requires flexibility as well as the ability to adapt the interventions based on the individuals you meet and their needs. The work takes place in the families' home environments, in our premises, and at other relevant locations.

Most of your working hours will be during the day, but some flexibility is required as some families need to be offered times after office hours. You will have the opportunity to independently organize your work with the help of a favorable flexible working hours agreement. There is also the possibility of temporary remote work.

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another academic degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in qualified treatment work directed at children and young people, have completed basic Step 1 training, and have knowledge of relevant treatment methods.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have further education in, for example, systemic foundational training, parenting support programs, and conversation methodology. We would also like you to have experience working from the Signs of Safety approach.

As a person, you have a strong commitment and a professional approach with a good ability to meet families in vulnerable and demanding situations. You enjoy collaboration, are structured in your work approach, and have experience documenting your work. You have good communication skills in both speech and writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
