About the position

One of our occupational therapists is going to study part-time, and we have decided to strengthen our team with an additional position.

The fixed-term employment is full-time for 1 year, with the possibility of extension if the study leave is extended.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work comprehensively and represent the occupational therapy expertise within the teams at our clinic. Your tasks include assessments and treatments in groups of patients with specialized psychiatric issues. You also have a cross-professional role as a primary care contact for a number of patients. The position also includes activity and functional assessments. Tasks will be distributed based on expertise, but it is important that you have experience with either group treatments or assessments.

As an occupational therapist at the clinic, you will work somewhat independently. Group treatment is conducted together with a licensed occupational therapist. The team includes four other occupational therapists with extensive experience in the field. As an occupational therapist, you are a crucial link in the patient's rehabilitation and have contact and collaboration with the patient's other internal and external units, relatives, and healthcare providers.

About us at the psychiatric clinic

The psychiatric clinic in Alingsås is part of adult psychiatry at Södra Älvsborgs Hospital.

The clinic serves the catchment area of Alingsås and Lerum municipalities with approximately 80,000 inhabitants. The location of the clinic provides excellent communication opportunities. Our team includes nurses, doctors, caregivers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, secretaries, and the unit manager. The group is characterized by openness, humor, and engagement.

Your profile

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Experience in the psychiatric field, such as psychiatric outpatient work, is advantageous, preferably with knowledge and experience of evidence-based treatments such as Ha koll, Vardag i balans, and IPTk. Experience in conducting activity assessments is also a merit. We see that you are structured, unpretentious, service-oriented, and enjoy taking significant personal responsibility. It is important for us to find the right person for the position, and great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
