Main Responsibilities and Tasks

At Folktandvården Vänersborg, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs.

We have OPG, DK equipment, and digital impression taking. As a dentist with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well received and safe during their visit. You will utilize your full competence while the position also requires creativity, empathy, collaboration, community, and a sense of service.

Your responsibilities include:

• Working both independently and together with your colleagues both in and out of the treatment room.
• Conducting both simpler examinations and more advanced treatments and emergency dental care.
• Being involved in driving the development of the business.

In addition to general dentistry, we are also a clinic for workplace-based training where we receive dental students and dental hygienist students every semester. We also accept students from the dental assistant program. Mentoring/assisting students may also be part of the role.

Currently, we have 10 dentists, 4 dental hygienists, and 16 dental assistants working with us. Clinic opening hours: Folktandvården Vänersborg - Folktandvården

Qualifications and Profile

• Licensed dentist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Proficiency in the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently and wisely.
• Ability to maintain a stable and calm demeanor even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your first year. The mentoring program is part of our three-year development program with up to 18 days of professional development.

The clinic is covered by Folktandvården's zonal supplement system, which means a clinic-specific salary supplement.

About the Recruitment Process

When your application is received, you will first be contacted by a recruiter from the HR department for an interview, this does not apply to internal applicants. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. We are happy to share more about our process when we speak.

If you, as an applicant, have education/degree from another EU/EEA country than Sweden and lack references, it may be necessary to complete supplementary theoretical and clinical work samples as part of the recruitment process.
