About the Department

The Neurosurgery department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) is tasked with providing highly specialized care, diagnosis, and rehabilitation for patients with diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.

The mission targets patients within the Västra Götaland region and Halland, as well as to some extent across the country. The Neurosurgery department includes neurology, neurosurgery, clinical neurophysiology, and rehabilitation medicine, as well as an educational unit. Research is conducted within the Neurosurgery department focusing on the function and diseases of the brain and nervous system, as well as advanced rehabilitation. We have about 560 employees working within the Neurosurgery department.

What Do We Offer?

You will be part of the department's central Administrative unit together with about 40 employees who all have cross-functional roles within the Neurosurgery department. With us, you will have a versatile, developing role with the opportunity to influence future working methods. The assignment also includes supporting the unit manager and working on projects that drive the unit's development forward.

Your Responsibilities

You will work as a system administrator for our patient administration system ELVIS. You will be a support for the entire operational area. The tasks fall under the responsibility areas of Management Control, User Support, and Case Management.

Management Control means that you participate in forums/function groups on behalf of the system administrator. You are responsible for forwarding information from the systems coordinator to relevant staff within the department.

As User Support, you are responsible for training and providing support within the department. You will also be a quality assurer of registrations within the department.

In the work with Case Management, you are responsible for documenting and reporting errors. You will be responsible for describing and reporting change needs to the systems coordinator according to routine. Actively participate in the preparation and implementation of new functions and routines. Participate in testing as needed.

You will work with digital solutions and changed working methods in the transformation that the healthcare system and Sahlgrenska University Hospital are currently undergoing. Together with the unit manager, you will set the agenda for the role, part of which is to contribute to an innovative culture.

About You

You can work independently, with a good ability to prioritize and structure your tasks, but you also find it easy to collaborate with other staff.
