Vattenfall Eldistribution has initiated a historic transition and is facing extensive electrification of society. This places high demands on digitalization, where our infrastructure is a crucial part. To achieve our ambitious goals, we need to grow, and we are therefore looking for a systems specialist in Server and Application Operations for our Operational Technology (OT) & Systems department.

With us, you will be part of an experienced and inclusive team responsible for the operation and maintenance of our data centers. You will focus on server and application operations and participate in development projects to support the operation of the electricity grid of the future. You will be part of a team of competent colleagues who manage and develop the entire IT/OT delivery within Vattenfall Eldistribution, including both project execution and management work.

Your main responsibilities:

Server Operations

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers in a Microsoft environment.
• Ensure high availability, stability, and performance in our server environments.
• Actively work with monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.

Application Operations

• Operation, management, and further development of existing applications in a Microsoft environment.
• Work closely with the business to ensure that the applications support our processes in the best way.

Project Participation and Development

• Participate in development projects and change initiatives focusing on the future monitoring of the electricity grid.
• Contribute technical expertise and execution in project deliveries.

Other

• The role may involve on-call duty in the long term.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you enjoy working in teams and having many different points of contact. You also have good self-leadership and thrive in a responsible role. You are structured and keep order around you. You are motivated to be part of the green transition and seek a role where you can continue to learn and develop!

As the contact network in the role is partially international, you need to have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

We know that you will develop with us, but for this position, we would like you to already have:

• Some years of experience in server operations in a Microsoft environment.
• University degree in IT or equivalent experience.

We consider it a plus if you also have:

• Experience working with database operations in a Microsoft environment.
• Experience from VMware virtualization operations.
• Experience with Arcgis.
• Experience working with integration platforms.
• A strong technical interest in IT/OT.
