Manpower is seeking a laboratory technician for a long-term consulting assignment with our client ExxonMobil in Uddevalla. The assignment starts immediately and initially lasts at least one year, with good opportunities for extension.
Do you want to work as a laboratory technician in an international industrial environment where quality, safety, and precision are in focus? Here, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced laboratory analyses and be part of a close-knit team responsible for quality control of both raw materials and finished products in lubricant oil production.
About the role
In the role of laboratory technician, you will work with chemical and physical analyses related to quality control and production support. You will be an important part of the operation and work closely with both colleagues and production in a high-tech laboratory environment.
Examples of analyses and tasks:
- Viscosity
- Density
- FT-IR
- ICP
- Pour Point
- Sampling and documentation according to current procedures
The work takes place at a varying pace depending on production needs. The role requires high accuracy, structure, and a sense of responsibility, while also giving you the opportunity to develop your laboratory skills and learn new analytical methods. The team spirit is strong, with both collaboration and individual responsibility in focus.
Working hours and flexibility
Regular working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, within the timeframe of 06:00-17:00, 8 hours per day. Evening work occurs about one week per month in connection with base oil deliveries and additional sampling. For this role, it is therefore an advantage if you live in the vicinity of Uddevalla.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a genuine interest in laboratory work, chemical analyses, and quality control
- Is meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious
- Enjoys both independent work and teamwork in a small group
- Is analytical, curious, and wants to develop within laboratory operations
- Has post-secondary education in chemistry, laboratory technology, or natural sciences, or high school qualifications combined with relevant experience
- Is flexible and enjoys a role with varying pace and tasks
- Speaks and writes fluent Swedish
Previous experience in laboratory work, process industry, or similar analytical environments is an advantage but not a requirement.
