We are supporting a confidential organization in the search for Junior Interior Designers with a focus on automotive interiors and seating design.

Assignment Overview

The role involves contributing to the design and development of automotive interior concepts, working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Color & Trim team to develop designs that align with the overall vision while respecting technical and material constraints.

• Partner with suppliers to ensure optimal outcomes in craftsmanship, cost efficiency, and engineering feasibility, while maintaining design intent.

• Work closely with fabrication teams to support prototype development when required.

• Report on a day-to-day basis to the Chief Designer and/or Department Director.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• University degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or Product Design.

• Junior profile, or up to 3–5 years of experience in automotive interior design (OEM experience is an advantage).

• Strong skills in Blender modeling and rendering.

• Excellent sketching capabilities and strong conceptual visualization skills.

• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D tools such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, Alias, Gravity Sketch, Grasshopper, and KeyShot.

• Experience presenting and communicating design concepts and rationale within a user-centered design process.

• Strong verbal and visual presentation skills.

• Ability to interpret and analyze requirements from senior stakeholders.

• Experience taking a design from initial sketches through concept modeling (Alias or clay) to A-class surfacing.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
