JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a respite caregiver for an 8-year-old boy. As a respite caregiver, you typically work in someone's home, temporarily taking over caregiving responsibilities. As a respite caregiver, you enable the guardian to have time to relax or engage in activities on their own or with siblings. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in helping others. You base your work on the individual’s needs and interests and adapt to situations. You are relationship-building and collaborative. To thrive in your role, it is important that you see each person and understand how important you are in contributing to a meaningful everyday life. It is essential that you are both cooperative and self-assured, as this creates security in your role as a respite caregiver.

QUALIFICATIONS

Personal suitability is of utmost importance. To fit for the role, we believe you are attentive, empathetic, driven, and service-minded. You should be able to create contacts and maintain relationships. You possess empathetic abilities and can understand someone else's perspective or situation. We are looking for a person who enjoys socializing with others, is interested in how others feel, and has a stable and secure life situation. It is advantageous if you have some form of care experience or similar education.
