We are now looking for a new colleague at Flyktinghälsan in Malmö!

At Flyktinghälsan in Malmö, you have the opportunity to become part of a unique organization that combines primary care with a social mission. We provide healthcare at the primary care level to asylum seekers and undocumented individuals, and since January 2025, we are a grant-funded unit within the new administration of Close Care and Health. From March 2026, our mission will expand as we will also be responsible for medical care at the detention centers in Åstorp and Ljungbyhed. We are co-located with the unit for development in migration and health, which gives us unique opportunities to influence and drive development in the field.

With us, we work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of general practitioners, nurses, social workers, laboratory assistants, medical secretaries, and receptionists. Together, we work for the best interests of the patient. We have well-established routines and structures that are specially adapted for our patient group, creating security for both patients and staff.

We are looking for someone who is interested in building, influencing, and contributing to an organization in change where there are great opportunities to help shape how care at the detention centers will look in the future. This is a workplace for you who are interested in a different and developing job as a general practitioner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist physician with us, you will have a varied and meaningful assignment where the usual outpatient work is combined with a close, team-based approach. With us, you will have the opportunity to combine primary care work with the special conditions that come with the mission in migration and health.

As we have received an expanded mission and development of care at the detention centers, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in shaping new routines, working methods, and structures moving forward. As a new specialist physician, you will enter a phase where we are building parts of the organization and creating new routines, which gives you the opportunity to influence, shape, and develop future working methods together with the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have specialist training in general medicine. Furthermore, you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. A valid B driver's license is also required for the position.

The administration of Close Care and Health has existed since January 1, 2025. The administration is responsible for grant-funded healthcare activities within close care. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, outpatient activities within close care, acute care within close care, 1177 by phone, and certain region-wide functions. In addition, the administration is responsible for the development and follow-up of the transition to close care in Region Skåne. The number of employees is expected to be around 1,000.
