JOB DESCRIPTION

Ystad municipality is now seeking dedicated Care Assistants for home care. At Bellahöjden, which provides home care in Ystad urban area, you will contribute to security, independence, and quality of life for our clients in their own homes. The Bellahöjden team works based on individual needs and close collaboration where you make a concrete and valuable contribution to people with cognitive disorders.

As a Care Assistant in home care, you provide care and support to clients according to assistance decisions and individual implementation plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Care and personal hygiene.
• Social support and companionship.
• Medication management.
• Cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Accompaniment to activities outside the home.
• Other tasks that contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life.

The positions are 100% evening shifts. Resource shifts may occur in the schedule, meaning that you may work in other units in the municipality as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is dedicated and empathetic with a natural ability to meet people with respect and care. You find it easy to create safe and trusting relationships with our clients and their relatives. You are responsive and flexible in your work approach, see each person's unique needs, and adapt to different situations and conditions. At the same time, you are responsible and stable, work in a structured manner, and take initiative when needed. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.

We are looking for someone who is a trained Care Assistant and can provide proof of a protected professional title as well as approved grades/diplomas from care and nursing education. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written (at least passing basic Swedish from compulsory school grade 9 or SFI D).

Experience in home care and working with cognitive disorders is an advantage.
