Are you a person driven by issues related to safety, security, and community development? As a Safety Coordinator/Security Officer, you will become an important part of the Department of Administration and Communication, where you will collaborate with a crisis preparedness coordinator and an information security coordinator. Together with several other stakeholders, you will work strategically and practically to promote safety and security in the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a Safety Coordinator, you will, among other things, develop, coordinate, and follow up on the municipality's crime prevention and safety-promoting work. This includes drafting plans, reports, guidelines, and working methods to increase safety and contribute to preventing and reducing crime in the municipality. You will initiate, coordinate, lead, and participate in strategic meetings and various collaboration forums both internally and externally.

Your duties include being the convener and driving force of the municipality's operational crime prevention collaboration group, responsible for updating the current situation regarding crime and insecurity in the municipality and planning, coordinating, implementing, and following up on relevant initiatives based on this. You will work cross-sectorally with preventive youth work where schools, social services, public health, and recreational activities are equally important stakeholders, and you are expected to play a role in this work as well.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for developing the municipality's internal work with security, alarms, perimeter protection, and risk analyses. The position also involves serving as the deputy security protection manager according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate, and follow up on the municipality's crime prevention and safety-promoting work according to the law on municipalities' responsibility for crime prevention work.
• Initiate, lead, and participate in strategic meetings and collaboration forums both internally and externally.
• Be the convener and driving force of the municipality's operational crime prevention collaboration group, local BRÅ.
• Be responsible for developing the municipality's internal security work, including alarms and risk analyses.
• Participate in our cross-sectoral youth work with schools, social services, and municipal recreational activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, social work, or another area we deem relevant for the position. You may also be trained within the Police. Experience in a politically governed organization is beneficial, and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. Additionally, experience in similar previous work is an advantage. Training in security protection is not a requirement as this can be provided by the employer, but an interest in and understanding of the field is a prerequisite.

As a person, you need to be unpretentious and collaborative with the overall best interests in mind. Building good relationships internally and externally is essential for success in this role. You have a natural ability to lead and facilitate meetings, both within the organization and in external contexts. You need to be able to identify various connections from a safety and security perspective and understand the mechanisms of successful youth preventive work, as well as have experience in thinking and acting both strategically and practically regarding safety and security.
