The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal City and includes elderly care, functional support, and health care.

The Rehabilitation Unit consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and service technicians who work with the municipality's six care and nursing homes, a short-term unit, and in health care provided at home for individuals over 18 years old. The mission of the Rehabilitation Unit is to work and develop collaboration for safe and secure care and rehabilitation for individuals within municipal health care based on a person-centered approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist in Mölndal City, you primarily work clinically where you independently and collaboratively identify and assess the patient's rehabilitation needs according to the occupational therapy process. You work closely with other professionals in health care to provide safe and secure care.

The work involves making assessments of activity ability individually or in a team and assessing and adapting the individual's home environment. You will assess needs, trial and prescribe assistive devices. Instructing and guiding relatives, home care, and nursing staff in an activity-preserving approach is also part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist. Experience working as an occupational therapist within municipal health care is an advantage but not a requirement. We look forward to your skills and knowledge regardless of whether you have several years of experience in the profession or are coming directly from your studies.

We expect you to take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the organization and the patient in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are committed to completing what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly. For the position, it is required that you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude as you have the patient's needs as the starting point for your actions. You have a strong commitment and enthusiasm for your work and take initiative and responsibility to move the work forward. Furthermore, you have a good ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals and promote a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

A driver's license (B) is required as driving is part of the job responsibilities. You need to have good computer skills and have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

The Rehabilitation Unit's office is located in the pleasant and attractive business park of Södra Porten next to E6/E20 with good communication by car, bicycle, bus, and train. There is proximity to green areas, restaurants, and fitness facilities.
