About us

The Endoscopy Clinic Östra operates endoscopic activities within gastroenterology five days a week.

We perform procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, and are also specialized in an advanced technique for removing large polyps in the intestine (ESD). Most of our activities are elective, but we also perform urgent examinations on inpatients. The clinic has four examination rooms and we also have access to a room in the operating department, where we perform endoscopic examinations under anesthesia one day a week with the help of anesthetic staff. A few sessions each month, we perform examinations under lighter anesthesia (Propofol) in our own facilities. We work daytime Monday to Friday and are closed on all public holidays. As the operations develop, we need to expand our staffing and are currently looking for a new team member.

What can we offer you?

The endoscopy operations are constantly evolving, and each day brings new knowledge and experiences. As a nurse with us, you will receive internal lectures from our own doctors and sometimes from external speakers. All staff categories in the unit work together as a team. The composition of staff is varied in both age and experience, and the more experienced are happy to share their knowledge. We dedicate a lot of time to improving and developing our operations.

Job responsibilities

As a nurse in the endoscopy clinic, you will have varied job responsibilities. One day you may be placed in what we call "recovery," which means you receive and prepare patients for examinations and observe them afterward. You are also responsible for booking urgent examinations for inpatients. This is done in the operating program Orbit. Another day you may be placed in the examination room where you assist the endoscopist and have patient responsibility for one patient at a time. You handle medications and document in Melior according to local routines. The job also includes administrative tasks, such as monitoring and responding to inquiries in 1177, as well as providing advisory functions to other units within the hospital.

About you

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. Previous experience in endoscopic/gastroenterological activities is an advantage. You should be proactive, work systematically, and be open to change. You meet all patients and colleagues with respect and are a good ambassador for the operations. We are convinced that you have a desire to give that little extra and that you enjoy working in a team; it is important that you have good self-awareness and a willingness to show results.
