We are now looking for a chief social worker for a temporary position within the planning organization in the city area of Centrum, who wants to help develop the authority's operations with a focus on the discharge process from inpatient care.

The Authority Department is part of the Elderly and Health and Care Administration in the City of Gothenburg.

As a chief social worker, you have a developmental role where you support and guide the social workers in the planning organization. Based on applicable legislation, you are responsible for, together with your colleagues, managing case handling, method development, and legal security, with the opportunity to make a difference for those we serve. In your role, you act as an accessible and close support, leading, coaching, and providing methodological guidance in daily work, both individually and in groups. Based on the assignment, you will collaborate with other actors, both internally and externally.

Your colleagues will include social workers, three other chiefs, and two unit managers. In your role as chief, you will drive development and change work together with the manager and other colleagues. You see opportunities where new ideas can be developed to achieve increased quality and a uniform working method in the city. The chief social worker plays an important role in assisting the unit manager with various operational issues and works together to achieve common goals, strengthen the future, and develop collaboration with both colleagues in the department's chief network and other actors.

You will work in a unit that is in a development phase. Together, you will develop one of the important parts of the authority's process; the discharge process. Elderly care is facing significant changes where the reform Close Care and Support will be a cornerstone. Here, it becomes especially important to consider the individual's path through the process and clarify the need for care as an important component of treatment.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in authority operations based on the Social Services Act is a requirement. It is also a requirement that you have experience working as a chief social worker. Since you will support and guide the planning caseworkers, it is advantageous if you are familiar with the routine for admission and discharge processes from inpatient healthcare and have knowledge of the IT services SAMSA and/or Treserva.
