Welcome to Alingsås!
As an employee in our municipality, you have all the opportunities to help develop the operations and your workplace. With nearly 4000 employees, we are large enough to drive change and small enough for everyone to have an impact and space for their ideas. There is room for innovators here. Together we create Alingsås!
All units within the social services departments are gathered together, which makes it easy for us to have enriching collaboration. We have fixed workplaces and most share an office with a colleague. Alingsås is a bike-friendly city where you can easily get around on our service bikes. We also have a well-maintained fleet of cars for longer trips. If you come with your own car, you have free parking outside the office and there are good public transport connections. In our lunchroom, we have a café host who adds that little extra.
We are now strengthening our teams with four new employees!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the unit for Children & Youth, we work in qualified reception, investigation, and follow-up work according to current legislation. We believe we have one of the world's best and most important jobs! We want people to be able to work in this role for a long time, even as their personal lives develop and change. Therefore, we have developed both support and organization that promotes this.
What does a workday look like in Children and Youth? It varies greatly from day to day! It is you and the clients who decide. Sometimes you sit in your office documenting or meeting our clients. Sometimes you are out on home visits or taking a walk with a young person. Sometimes you are in difficult conversations and sometimes you are in court. What we know is that the tasks are varied and require you to be adaptable (flexible) and enjoy collaborating with others, both internal and external actors.
BBiC and Signs of Safety permeate all our work based on the vision that all our children and families are met with respect, are involved and have influence, and that their and the network's resources are utilized, always with the child's safety, security, and best interests as a starting point. Please read more at www.socialstyrelsen.se (http://www.socialstyrelsen.se) and www.signsofsafety.net (http://www.signsofsafety.net).
This means that in your role as an investigative social worker, you meet children, youth, and families at the social office and in various environments where the children have their daily lives. In network meetings, we meet together with the important people around the family, both privately and professionally. We have close collaboration with colleagues within the municipality and with partners in various areas of operation. We are curious, development-oriented, and brave.
QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in social work (or eligibility according to SOSFS 2014:7) and a B driver's license are required, and we prefer that you have experience working with children and youth.
The tasks include documentation within authority operations, and you therefore need to enjoy writing and have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We expect you to want to be part of a dynamic group community where we work creatively together.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
OTHER
To facilitate the recruitment process, we ask you to attach relevant certificates and grades for the position you are applying for and to be able to present valid ID, such as a passport or national ID card, during any interview.
If you have protected personal information, you should NOT apply via the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager for handling your application.
We can only accept applications via Visma Recruit.
