Who is Svekon? At Svekon, you get to be part of where it happens - from a need and a prototype to a finished solution. With 50 years in the industry, Svekon continues its journey as the engineering firm working for a better tomorrow. Today, they offer services in software development, electronics design, industrial design, and regulatory and technical documentation. Svekon is located in modern and vibrant premises in Solna, where both office and workshop are under the same roof. This way, you are never far from the technology – regardless of your role at Svekon.
What does the role include?
As a systems engineer, you will be a key person in Svekon's projects within defense and security. You will work practically with systems work at both the system and subsystem levels, where you are responsible for analyzing, structuring, and following up on technical solutions throughout the development chain.
You will be involved early in the development process and work on interpreting and establishing requirements, ensuring that solutions meet standards, and contributing to making Svekon's products both safe and functional. The role is broad and involves moving between technology, documentation, and customer dialogue – always with a holistic perspective in focus.
Examples of tasks:
Work with systems work at the system and subsystem levels, including system analysis and technical overall review
Establish and review requirement specifications
Interpret standards and directives (for example, CE marking, defense-related regulations)
Ensure that requirements are followed throughout the development process
Participate in risk analyses and systems safety work
Support project managers and development teams with technical documentation
Document and communicate technical solutions in Swedish and English
You will work closely with Svekon's cross-functional teams, which may consist of mechanical designers, electronics designers, programmers, and systems safety specialists. Projects vary in size and character – from subsystems to complete solutions within the defense industry.
We are looking for someone who has:
A university or master's degree in a relevant technical field
At least 4 years of experience in systems work at the system or subsystem level
The ability to interpret and apply standards and regulations
Experience in product development or technical development projects
Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project)
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Experience working in a structured and independent manner, with good communication skills
It is a plus if you have:
Experience from the defense industry, FMV, or the Armed Forces
Knowledge of systems safety or CE marking
Experience in projects within total defense
If you have read this far, the chances are high that you are the right person for the role. We look forward to your application!
