Skaraborg Hospital (SkaS) operates in several locations in Skaraborg, including Falköping, Lidköping, Mariestad, and Skövde. We provide specialized healthcare in about thirty specialties and work together for the health of our patients throughout their lives, offering a cohesive and safe care. Description

The Anesthesia/Operation and ICU/Postoperative area within SkaS has hospital units in Lidköping, Skövde, and Falköping. Approximately 450 employees work within the operation. Our common goal is to focus on the patient. We work process-oriented and continuously follow up and develop our operations according to SkaS guidelines. All units work closely together, both between locations and within the entire SkaS. We operate within our area as a whole, which means that employees sometimes staff other locations within SkaS to ensure that patients receive the care and treatment we are expected to provide. During the summer, operations are concentrated in Skövde, which may also happen during the Christmas and New Year weeks. In Lidköping, surgery, the sterilization center, and pre-op are under the same unit. We operate elective day surgery patients and inpatient patients in orthopedics, surgery, and gynecology. We also perform endoscopic examinations and assist in radiology during MR examinations. There are a total of 6 operating rooms.

About the Position

As a sterile technician, you will be part of the team at the sterilization center and work closely with the surgical unit. The main task of the sterilization center is instrument care: enhanced cleaning, functional control, counting, packaging, and sterilization of goods for departments, clinics, and healthcare centers. The largest customer of the sterilization center is the surgical department, but we also work on assignments for external customers. We use the traceability system T-Doc, which is a planning, control, and documentation system.

Our main working hours are during the day from Monday to Friday, but variations in working hours and days may occur if staffing at another location, for example, during the summer.

Qualifications

You who are applying should be an educated sterile technician. You should have good collaboration skills, be responsive to the team's needs, and understand your own part in the patient's journey through surgical care. Furthermore, we see that you are confident in your professional role and have a positive and open attitude. You are flexible, eager to develop, and enjoy working both independently and in a team. Personal suitability is highly valued.
