About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Herrljunga Health Center!

Here, 28 highly competent and dedicated employees work in various professional categories such as general practitioners, locum doctors, junior doctors, AT and ST doctors, district nurses, general nurses, BVC nurses, nursing assistants/laboratory staff, medical secretaries, medical foot care therapists, and a mental health team including psychologists, psychiatric nurses, and social workers.

We also have a team consisting of a district nurse and an ST doctor working with menopause-related issues. We conduct rounds together with Herrljunga municipality in home care and in residential care. With our diverse competencies and experiences, we complement each other, providing excellent opportunities for value-creating treatment for our patients. Currently, we have a patient list of over 8200 patients.

We have a rehabilitation clinic in the building and also a family center, allowing us to collaborate effectively with these entities. You will be welcomed by a wonderful team with a strong sense of community! The health center in Herrljunga has train connections right outside the door, making it easy to reach us by train from, for example, Gothenburg.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health center cover a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work with outpatient care and digital healthcare meetings in primary care. We also expect you to take responsibility for part of our home care area together with another general practitioner here at the health center. Each doctor dedicates one day a week for this purpose. If you have an interest in BVC, it is also desirable to ensure continuity in that work.

You and your colleagues form a team with the opportunity to develop the operations. We achieve success together in a stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming climate. The role also includes supervising ST and AT doctors as well as medical students, which is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare professionals. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities, for example, through continuous further education of ten days per year.

About You

You are a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine and authorized to practice within the Swedish health care system. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale, are a requirement for the position. Do you have another specialist training that may be valuable for the health center? We would love to hear more about you!

We are looking for someone who can work independently but still wants to participate in the development of the operations. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are attentive and have a good attitude. You enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in your work.
