Your Responsibilities

The position includes teaching, course administration, and supervision of bachelor's theses within the nursing program. You will teach in caring science related to the nurse's area of responsibility and use your extensive experience as a nurse to create teaching that is relevant, grounded in practice, and in line with the profession's requirements.

The position also includes teaching at the Clinical Training Center (KTC), an operation that offers both training in basic skills and more advanced simulation. Here, you contribute with your clinical competence in educational moments that strengthen students' readiness for action and judgment in their professional role.

The work involves collaboration with representatives from the profession as well as participation in assessment discussions during students' clinical placements. Teaching in educational care departments may be included. The role also includes participating in research and development work within your area at the academy and continuously following developments in the subject area and societal developments that are significant for the university's educational mission.

Your Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you need to have a master's degree in caring science or a corresponding subject area. It is a requirement that you have a Swedish nursing license and have extensive work experience as a nurse, which gives you the professional anchoring that the role requires.

You must also be able to demonstrate pedagogical skills, as well as experience in teaching and student supervision. The role requires that you can work independently, while documented good collaboration skills are necessary, as the work is done in close cooperation with colleagues and representatives from the profession. Furthermore, the position requires the ability for clear communication and good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Experience in supervising and teaching in healthcare
• Experience in simulation at the Clinical Training Center (KTC)

A general eligibility requirement for permanent employment as a teacher is completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies, or equivalent competence. An employee who lacks higher education pedagogical training can undergo training during the first two years of employment.
