We are located in the picturesque municipality of Mark with good communications to Gothenburg, Borås, and Varberg. We have about 10,000 registered patients and are one of three Närhälsan health centers in the municipality.

About the Job

Your tasks at the Child Health Clinic (BVC) are varied, where you follow children with guardians from newborn until school health care takes over. You have a central role in meeting the families' needs, making medical and nursing assessments and priorities. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-oriented both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

You will work with health checks, vaccinations, and parent groups. The patient group consists of children aged 0-6 years with their families. Collaboration occurs in interdisciplinary teams at the health center and cooperation also takes place with external care providers such as preschools, schools, family centers, and specialist healthcare. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, therefore, supervision of students is also included as part of your role at the health center.

The role also includes work at the health center as a district nurse, which encompasses the general medical field where you meet patients of all ages and situations, through both acute and planned activities. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-oriented in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a district nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience working with children and youth and/or have supervisor training of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome you as a recent graduate.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitization and operational development.

Other

Travel in the service occurs, a B driver's license is required.

The position is divided with approximately 50% work at BVC and DSK clinic.

About the Recruitment Process

The selection process takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
