About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Kärra Health Center! We are located in Norra Hisingen near central Gothenburg, Kungälv, and Angered.

We are a well-functioning health center with 9,443 registered patients, stable staffing, and good finances. The health center is located near Kärra center, close to beautiful nature, within walking distance from the commuter station, and offers free parking.

Our team includes general practitioners, resident doctors, district nurses, nurses, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries. We have nursing clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, medical consultations, child health care, and laboratory services. We offer our patients health coaching conversations for support in making changes and guidance towards healthy living habits. We are responsible for elderly care and LSS operations and collaborate closely with Kungälv Hospital.

Together with team leaders and management, we are 26 employees. We have a helpful approach with great commitment and joy at work. About the Job

Your duties at the health center cover a broad field and include the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-focused in first-line care, both via phone, home visits, digital health meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You will work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up on patients. Close collaboration occurs with colleagues in the unit and interdisciplinary in the team, but also together with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with management, you are responsible for developing and driving the unit forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, therefore supervision of students is included in your role at the health center.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience working in primary care and/or have supervisor training of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and is confident in making independent decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize your tasks.

In your work, you will meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and willing to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener during digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitalization and organizational development.

About the Recruitment Process

The selection process takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite relevant candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
