Job Responsibilities

The Short-Term Unit offers habilitation, daily rehabilitation, health and medical care interventions, care, and social services. Here, you will work with more advanced care, medication management, and rehabilitative interventions after delegation from a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. We are looking for someone who can work days and evenings or nights. For the night position at the Short-Term Unit, more extensive experience from previous work in a short-term unit and night work is required.

We are looking for someone interested in working as a casual employee (substitute), monthly substitute (with the possibility to start already in the spring on a fixed schedule), and/or summer substitute (monthly employed during the summer period).

Before your employment, you will of course receive an introduction, shorter training, and shadow regular staff to feel secure in your role and develop in your position. You will learn techniques for transferring a person with various aids. You will learn thorough care and how to meet the elderly, as well as take a course so that you can administer medications to the elderly under the delegation of a nurse.

Monthly Substitute – Weekends and Extra Compensation

We have no split shifts, and our schedule periods are 6 weeks. As a monthly substitute (spring or summer), you will always work every other weekend (3 out of 6). Want to work more weekends? Each extra shift pays 1,000 SEK gross, and you can take a maximum of 4 extra shifts per schedule period. Note: this only applies to monthly substitutes, not casual employees.

Qualifications

For day/evening work in the short-term unit, education in care and nursing and previous experience in the field are not required but are meritorious. For night work in the short-term unit, previous experience in a short-term unit and familiarity with night work are required. Care and nursing education is also meritorious for night shifts.

Good to Know

For the position, it is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at level B1 according to the Council of Europe's standards before the interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test.

If you proceed to an interview, it will begin with an informational part where up to 15 people participate. Each person will then meet briefly for an individual interview. Meetings will take place on specific occasions in odd weeks.

The Health and Care Committee is politically responsible for the department's work. Our operations are about providing care, support, and service to elderly people and those in need of functional support. We also perform some health and medical care. The vision is for our interventions to be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

The Short-Term Unit is centrally located in Partille at Gamla Kronvägen 82. As an employee with us, you have a fun and changing assignment. We provide care and support for temporary needs, for example, after a hospital stay or as relief for relatives. The goal of the operation is to provide support and rehabilitation with a focus on the individual being able to return home after a period of stay.
