About Us

Närhälsan Vårgårda Health Center is centrally located next to the bus and train station in Vårgårda municipality. The municipality has around 11,000 inhabitants and is an expanding community with excellent connections by train and bus to Gothenburg and other larger towns in the surrounding area. The town is situated in an old cultural landscape with beautiful walking areas and a rich association life. At Närhälsan Vårgårda Health Center, we have 40 employees in various professions, forming a team of general practitioners, residents (ST), and junior doctors (AT). We have a positive work environment characterized by humor and team spirit. About the Job

Your tasks at the health center span a broad field and cover general medical competence with patients of all ages and in various situations. You work independently and with variety in reception work. Supervision is provided by an experienced specialist who offers you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities. If you are interested in a free and varied job with the patient where your and your colleagues' work environment is in focus, this job is for you.

You will have allocated time to participate in offered seminars or time for your own studies, and you will also participate in the health center's and the medical group's meetings. Your individual study plan is established together with your supervisor and study director.

About You

You are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish health and medical care. You have a great interest in the field of general medicine. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's framework, are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good approach, as you will meet many different patients at the health center in your work. You work independently and are confident in making your own decisions, while also contributing with engagement and initiative to the development of the operation. You enjoy teamwork and are happy to collaborate with colleagues and partners to jointly create a care environment characterized by quality, trust, and care.

We are facing a transition and plan to move into new premises shortly.

For those who have trained as doctors abroad and have not completed their internship (AT) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Service (BT) apply from July 1, 2021. Basic Service for doctors (BT) is a mandatory initial part of the specialization service in the new ordinance ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to complete BT before or as the initial part of your ST.
