NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborgs County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees working every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.
Description
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic (BUP) at NU Healthcare currently has approximately 150 full-time employees. These include treatment assistants, leisure-time educators, physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, team secretaries, dietitians, special educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists.
Currently, the BUP clinic is undergoing a major development and organizational effort to improve operations in relation to patients and care partners. This concerns accessibility, current guidelines, and care programs, as well as how we should organize the BUP clinic to meet today's expectations. We need to challenge our ingrained patterns and discover new opportunities while cherishing the experience we have and what we know works. As an employee, you have the opportunity to influence what the future of BUP will look like.
BUP WEST has its main center at Uddevalla Hospital and service points in Lysekil and Strömstad. We strive for a good working environment where our employees can feel job satisfaction, security, and support in their daily lives. Together, we care for each other's health and well-being, have high ceilings, and laughter is close at hand. To thrive with us, you should enjoy working in a team as well as being secure in independent work.
Responsibilities
As a psychologist, you will work on child psychiatric assessments, investigations, and treatments. To support assessments and investigations, there are jointly developed templates, support documents, and guidelines. Treatment can be provided individually to children/adolescents, in families, or in groups. We work based on various methods depending on the nature of the case and what is deemed most appropriate in the individual case, based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's and our regional medical guidelines (RMR).
The work also includes collaboration with schools, social services, habilitation, pediatric medicine, and other agencies surrounding children and families.
The work is carried out in close cooperation with other staff, team leaders, and managers. Qualified supervision is available within the clinic for treatment and investigative work. The clinic has a Psychological Leadership Responsible (PLA) who is part of the management group. Psychologists at the clinic have recurring meetings to raise profession-wide issues, and an interdisciplinary forum for reflection recurs during the term.
Qualifications
Licensed psychologist according to Swedish requirements. PTP positions are not applicable for this role. We expect you to have an interest in child and adolescent psychiatry, to be structured, clear, orderly, and flexible, and to have a willingness to work and be part of a team.
We value qualities such as good social competence where humor, proactiveness, and positive thinking are clear merits. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability and qualities such as good collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.
Other
When filling a position within psychiatry, we always request an extract from the suspicion and criminal record register. This request is handled by the employer.
Interviews will be conducted continuously throughout the application period.
Welcome with your application!
