About Us

Via the phone number 1177, medical advice is offered 24/7, all year round. 1177 is a national service present in all Swedish counties and regions. Our mission is to make a qualified medical assessment, prioritize, and provide advice for self-care or, if necessary, refer to the appropriate level of care. We work according to a national decision support system and with a specific conversation methodology.

1177 on the phone works towards national development and collaboration towards digital medical advice. The goal is for residents to have increased accessibility to personal advice and faster help in reaching the right level of care and support, across several channels.

The operation is led by regional area managers, operational managers, and unit managers. At each unit, nurses and administrators work. Our offices in the Västra Götaland Region are located in Alingsås, Gothenburg, Skövde, and Uddevalla. We are also part of a national network with the rest of Sweden's regions.

About the Job

1177 on the phone is often the first point of contact for healthcare for our residents. Being a telephone nurse at 1177 is a rewarding, exciting, and challenging job that covers a wide knowledge area. As a nurse with us, the telephone is your work tool, supported by image and video.

We offer you a job in telephone medical advice where you encounter varying inquiries. With us, you will receive an introductory training program totaling four weeks, including both theory and practice, as well as ongoing professional development. Additionally, you will receive individual conversation guidance and the opportunity for group reflection. Your work shifts include scheduled recovery time. Once you have settled into the role, there may be an opportunity to work remotely. We offer a workplace with a focus on a good work environment and high quality.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and preferably have a specialist education. You need to have worked as a nurse for at least three years. We also require that you master Swedish in both speech and writing, have good knowledge of English, and are accustomed to working in various IT systems.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. Among other things, we value good treatment, independence, innovative thinking, and the ability to take initiative. Good teamwork skills are also important to us.

Terms

Our service includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. The start date is September 21.

Selection will take place continuously during the application period, so do not wait to submit your application. Interviews are planned for April 27, 28, and 29. If you are selected for an interview, you will be invited to the site to observe how we work.
