About the Job

The short-term care unit at Silvergruvan Care and Nursing Home is looking for a specialist assistant nurse with a focus on rehabilitation, psychiatry, dementia, or multi-morbid elderly care. Do you want to support us in our quality work?

In your role, you will be able to use your full competence and potential to develop yourself and our operations. You will play a central role in the introduction of new colleagues and strengthen the status of assistant nurses by mentoring and driving methodological work. You will also support the unit manager and guide short-term guests and their relatives in complex cases. You will work in teams on a schedule including days, evenings, and every other weekend in direct care work. Short-term care provides care and support to guests for a limited period. The work is based on authority decisions with clear goals tailored to the unique needs of the short-term guest. The goal is to return to the most independent and self-sufficient life possible after the stay with us. Silvergruvan Care and Nursing Home is an academic care facility where various research projects are ongoing in collaboration with universities. This means we host students and trainees, where you will play an important role in their mentoring.

About You

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are an educated assistant nurse, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for a protected professional title, or can show that you were employed as an assistant nurse when the new regulations were introduced.
• Vocational college education of at least 200 credits in rehabilitation, psychiatry, dementia, or multi-morbid elderly care.
• Work experience in healthcare and social services.
• The role requires computer skills for documentation and incident management in various IT systems, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits if you have

• Worked within short-term care.
• Work experience in mentoring groups and/or individuals.
