RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of a staff group where we help and support each other in our various roles. As a school nurse in Lerum Municipality, you are part of the Student Health Medical Intervention (EMI) and contribute your expertise to the school's student health team, which consists of counselors, school psychologists, special educators, and principals. You will primarily work in a health-promoting and preventive manner, contributing your medical and nursing expertise to create the best possible conditions for the student's health, development, and learning at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The school nurse's work is carried out in close collaboration with the principal and staff. The assignment also includes contact with parents and cooperation with external actors such as social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), etc.

As a school nurse, you are part of a professional network together with other school nurses, led by the Medical Manager (MLA). Lerum Municipality has an established health program for EMI that includes health visits, health conversations, and vaccinations. The school nurse is responsible for organizing and planning their own and the school doctor's reception work during the school year.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or specific higher education for school nurses. Merit is experience working as a school nurse or working with children and young people. We document in Prorenata.

In your role as a school nurse, you are secure, empathetic, and flexible. You have the ability to oversee your own area of responsibility and feel confident in making decisions within the framework of your assignment. You have good collaboration skills and find it easy to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. We want you to be a meticulous person with good planning and organizational skills, as well as being good at communicating, motivating, and inspiring.
