Test Engineer for System Test at ScandiNova Systems
This is the opportunity for you who want to work closely with advanced technology, large customized machines, and real problem-solving, for real. We are looking for someone who thrives in a practical, varied, and technically deep role where you take overall responsibility for system testing, collaborate closely with engaged colleagues, and have contact with customers from all over the world. At ScandiNova Systems, you will become part of a knowledgeable, unpretentious team with strong cohesion, where everyone supports each other, has fun together, and where your technical curiosity really makes a difference. We look forward to your application!
ABOUT THE POSITION
ScandiNova Systems is an international technology company based in Uppsala that develops and manufactures advanced pulse generators and modulators for research and industrial customers worldwide. Their machines are used in medical research, accelerator physics, and other areas where extreme precision and reliability are crucial. Through their expertise and customized solutions, ScandiNova Systems enables researchers and engineers to test, develop, and push the boundaries of new technology.
As the company grows, ScandiNova Systems is now looking for a Test Engineer for System Test. The team works on a project basis and is responsible for the complete system testing of each machine before it is delivered to the customer. You will work in pairs with colleagues, where you will together conduct customized and tailored tests that vary for each order, from manual hardware tests and electrical measurements to function verification and documentation. The tasks are practical, technically challenging, and very varied, from flows, pressures, and connections of water and transformer oil to measurements with oscilloscopes. The role involves working in a changing environment with quick turns where no day is like the other, and where the team constantly adapts the tests according to the customer's needs.
The team consists of about eight people with backgrounds in electrical engineering, technical physics, and related fields, with a mix of junior and senior test engineers. Together, the team works to ensure that the machines meet customer specifications and contribute to researchers and engineers worldwide making breakthroughs in areas such as radiation therapy, industrial X-ray, cargo and security scanning, and scientific research. There is an open and unpretentious atmosphere with a strong team spirit, where everyone helps each other, shares knowledge, and has fun together. The role offers good opportunities for technical development, increased responsibility, and becoming an important part of delivering world-leading, reliable pulse technology from Uppsala to customers around the globe.

- A close-knit team with strong knowledge sharing and a good atmosphere

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work with flows, pressures, transformer oil, water connections, pipes, and system connections/disconnections
- Participate in final tests together with the customer
- Be responsible for internal documentation and final reports to the customer
- Contribute to order and structure in a changing environment with quick turns
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a post-secondary education in electrical engineering, technical physics, or similar, alternatively a vocational education in electrical engineering or automation, or other relevant experience that we assess as equivalent
- Has a good foundation in electrical theory and experience with electrical measurements
- Is practically oriented, technically interested, and has a good system understanding
- Is used to working structured and carefully with documentation
- Is very comfortable with Swedish and English in both speech and writing as it is required to perform the work
It is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have

- Mechanical interest or experience from leisure projects, e.g., cars or technology builds
Most importantly, your personality
We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, structured, and meticulous, with a good understanding of how technical systems are interconnected. You are humble, unpretentious, and enjoy collaborating closely with colleagues, where teamwork and knowledge sharing are central to achieving results.
