Academic Resource is looking for a Research Engineer for a Life Science company in Uppsala. The position is a consultancy assignment for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Scope: Full-time, 40 hours/week. Location in Uppsala.

Immediate start.

Department Description:

The start to finish department within R&D covers the entire process for the customer, from beginning to end, and is an application-oriented department within the R&T organization.

The column packing and functionality team focuses on the development of methods for column packing, from small to large scale.

Role Description/Responsibilities:

• Develop packing methods for chromatographic columns used for protein purification, supporting both new product development and marketing and sales support.

• Conduct laboratory investigations, independently or in teams, through planning, execution, and analysis of results.

• Participate in various R&D projects and collaborate with other functions, including production.

• Assist in defining customer needs and verifying them.

This role is perfect for a structured and organized team player with good social skills and an eye for detail.

Flexible and with a proven ability to deliver within set deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar in Life Science.

• A few years of work experience, up to 3 years, preferably in R&D.

• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Experience in column packing, ÄKTA, or chromatography is a plus.
