We are looking for someone who wants to work on strengthening Kungälv as a place for residents, visitors, and businesses.

As a business developer focusing on place development, you will be the driving force behind new experiences, strong collaborations, and ideas that make our municipality even more attractive – year-round.

Responsibilities

As a business developer/place developer, you will work to develop and strengthen Kungälv and Marstrand, in close collaboration with internal operations, local and regional actors, companies, and associations. One of the tasks is to establish and promote a cultural corridor in central Kungälv to highlight the city's history and cultural heritage.

As a business developer/place developer, you will work with:

• Developing Kungälv as an attractive place for residents, visitors, and businesses,
• Creating conditions for events and collaborations that strengthen Kungälv,
• Marketing to attract visitors, through the web and other channels,
• Driving networks and projects for place development and also applying for grants for such projects.

With us, you will work in an environment where we want courage, respect, and co-creation to lead us forward. The business developer will work in a unit together with the municipality's two other business developers and communicators.

Qualifications

The person we are looking for should have relevant education in tourism, place development, marketing, or similar. Alternatively, work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent, as well as several years of documented experience in tourism, destination, or place development.

The work requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with applying for support and grants.

You should have a good ability to both lead projects and collaborate with others, take your own initiative in the work, and be self-driven. For the assignment, you need to be flexible, service-oriented, and able to create good relationships with those you meet. You are communicative, creative, and work in a structured way to achieve set goals.
