HR Officer at the Royal College of Music
The Royal College of Music in Stockholm, KMH, is Sweden's only independent university in the field of music. We educate students at the highest international level in various music genres, conducting, composition, music and media production, as well as in various teacher training programs focused on music. KMH also conducts research and doctoral education in music and music pedagogy, and participates in extensive artistic and pedagogical research and development projects in Sweden and internationally.
KMH hereby announces a position as HR Officer. The employment is permanent, full-time and begins with a six-month probationary period.
About the Department
The HR department currently consists of five employees, including the HR manager. Together with other departments, we provide the organization’s authority and operational support.
The HR department is an important support for the operations and should be responsive to its needs while providing guidance and contributing knowledge in various contractual areas and labor law. The HR department needs to expand its administrative support and offer managers and employees enhanced assistance.
Responsibilities
The department will soon have two HR officers, each with their specific responsibilities. The new HR officer will have the main responsibility for supporting the academy's managers with the recruitment of teachers, staffing issues including follow-up, statistics, policy matters, rehabilitation, etc. Teacher recruitment differs from other recruitments and is based on the regulations of the Higher Education Ordinance. The administrative work is important and includes, among other things, handling matters at an authority, where you contribute materials to the HR manager and management. As an HR officer, you also provide support to payroll secretaries and payroll administrators in preparation for payroll transitions and contribute knowledge about contractual agreements, the Higher Education Ordinance, labor law, and pensions. Close collaboration with the management support and finance department means that tasks such as analysis, follow-up, and certain statistical tasks are included.
The work is very varied and takes place mostly on-site at KMH, but some remote work is offered.
The role of HR officer requires you to be structured in your work approach, but you should also be prepared to be interrupted and need to change focus. You will have eventful days in a stimulating environment where you contribute your knowledge while taking on new challenges. You should be used to working independently but are also expected to collaborate with and support your colleagues when needed.
KMH works in the systems Primula, ReachMee, TimeEdit, and in-house developed systems.
