Financial and Operational Auditor at IF Metall's National Office

IF Metall organizes employees in the manufacturing, automotive, and chemical industries, mining, pharmaceutical companies, and laundries, with over 300,000 members across 13,000 workplaces in Sweden. We are now looking for a financial and operational auditor for IF Metall's national office located in Stockholm.

Your main tasks will involve auditing IF Metall's 32 different departments across the country. In your role as an operational auditor, you will conduct training and information sessions for the elected auditors and new treasurers of the departments. You will assist and advise the departments on various financial and organizational issues. You will also work on developing operational auditing for the entire union and collaborate with different units at the national office on financial, organizational, and operational-specific matters.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in financial work and a degree in finance from high school or university/college. Experience from trade unions or non-profit organizations is an advantage. You must have good computer skills and strong proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. This position involves some travel, which can usually be planned well in advance.

As a person, it is crucial that you have high integrity and understand the importance of handling confidential information. You possess well-developed analytical skills and make informed and thoughtful decisions. Since your role involves many meetings with different types of people, we are looking for someone who is communicative, pedagogical, and diplomatic in their approach to others. Given that the position entails a significant amount of independent work, we expect you to be self-driven and able to prioritize your work based on the organization's set goals. To fit this role, you should also be structured, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills.
