Job Description
Do you have experience in financial management within real estate projects and thrive in the role as the link between finance and operations? We are currently looking for a project economist with previous professional experience in the real estate industry! You should have previously taken on the role of being responsible for the financial management and follow-up of real estate projects. We are looking for someone who:
- has previously worked in finance within the real estate industry and understands the specific challenges of large construction and real estate projects.
- is well-versed in cash flow planning and final cost forecasts. You identify deviations before they become problems and act proactively.
- is comfortable attending construction meetings, supporting project managers with budget issues, and acting as a bridge between the project and the central finance department.
- enjoys handling ongoing bookkeeping, VAT reporting, and invoice review required to keep the project on track.
- ensures that all financial documentation and records meet the requirements for financial transparency and regulatory compliance.
- is used to working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising the quality of your reporting.
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the financial management of real estate projects. You will establish budgets, manage accruals, conduct analyses, and prepare decision-making materials for steering groups and project managers. You will also participate in procurements and ensure that the project adheres to the financial regulations applicable to the authority. This is an assignment where we will offer employment with us at Randstad Finance - taking on the assignment as a subcontractor through your own company is not possible.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for financial management, forecasting, follow-up, documentation, and analysis of the real estate project's finances. This should be done by ensuring compliance with the budget, cost control, and financial transparency.
• Act as a link between the project organization and the finance department.
• Establish and follow up on the project budget in consultation with project managers and project leads.
• Ensure accurate final cost forecasts and cash flow planning.
• Ongoing bookkeeping, cost follow-up, accruals, and analysis of deviations.
• Quality assurance and review of invoices, purchases, and financial documentation.
• Prepare financial reports for project managers, project leads, and steering groups.
• VAT reporting including follow-up.
• Participate in procurements and purchases from a financial perspective.
• Attend construction meetings and project meetings (Stockholm).
• Bookkeeping of travel, accommodation, etc. for project staff and visitors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for financial reporting in the project.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or property management.
- Experience in financial analysis within the real estate industry.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial reporting.
- Good understanding of property economics and property management.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
