Summer Substitute in Care and Support

About the Position

The work involves tasks as a support assistant. We place great emphasis on guiding and strengthening each individual's ability to live independently through our pedagogical work. In the unit, you will work with users who have developmental disabilities/autism. Work hours are scheduled for day/morning/evening/weekend/night. Placement is in Hallstavik and Älmsta. We are looking for substitutes during the period of June-August. The extent of employment is full-time/part-time by agreement.

We interview and recruit continuously during the advertising period.

Your tasks include:

  • Support the user based on their implementation plan, individual needs, and wishes
  • Care work and supporting the individual in social contexts
  • Pedagogical guidance
  • Documentation and delegated care measures
  • Contact with the user's network and specific tasks related to the operations.

About You

For this position, you need:

  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
  • A certificate from the criminal record register.
  • Good digital competence, i.e., technical knowledge and skills required to handle various software such as journal systems, communication systems, and the Office package.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • High school education from the health and care program, child and leisure program, or other equivalent education that the employer deems relevant.
  • Experience working within LSS.
  • Driver's license for manual transmission and driving experience.
  • Specialized skills for the specific operations.
  • Knowledge of various functional variations such as autism/NPF/IF.
  • Good knowledge of low-arousal approaches and attitudes.
  • Knowledge in AAC - Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
  • Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors.

As you will be replacing regular staff, we see that you are self-sufficient and can ask for help when needed. We expect you to have good collaboration skills as the team consists of various professions and personalities. In challenging situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled, focusing on the right things.
