About the job

Borensbergs parish is located in beautiful Östergötland, close to both nature and city. Here you will find proximity to lakes, forests, and open landscapes, while also having good commuting options to both Linköping and Motala. The parish has about 6,500 church members and a very good and stable economy that provides security and the opportunity for long-term work. We are a parish that combines good traditions with a willingness to innovate and strive to be a church for all occasions. Our vision is:

About the position

As a parish priest in Borensbergs parish, you will play an important role in shaping the future of the parish. You will lead both spiritually and administratively, working together with engaged employees and volunteers – our important co-creators – to create a church that is close to life and people. We want to build a transcending community where everyone feels welcome.

On the pastor's delegation, you will have the opportunity to sit on one or more of the parish councils and boldly work with parish and worship development. Here you will lead and participate in various types of group activities together with both our younger parishioners and the more experienced and seasoned. Yes, what we might refer to as “ordinary priest tasks”!

• Has good organizational skills and works purposefully based on agreed plans.

• Is confident in leading and making decisions and strives to listen and make space for others.
