About the Role

This role consists of two parts; primarily, you will work with various administrative tasks, and the other part consists of tasks within the role of a security guard. To thrive in this role, you need to be able to handle administrative tasks and enjoy switching between roles. You play a central role in the court's daily work. You will have a varied and developing job with both large and small tasks in an important and exciting operation. You will have a high degree of responsibility for parts of your work areas.

Examples of Tasks:

  • register cases and matters,
  • be responsible for the release of public documents,
  • internal office service, including ensuring that consumables such as paper, coffee, etc. are available,
  • ensure that the court's visitors are well received, receive information and good service, and feel safe in the court's premises,
  • be responsible for order and security in the court's premises and maintain safety in public areas during hearings, which also includes traveling with the court members to Kiruna for hearings a few times a month,
  • participate in the district court's security work, both internally and externally, such as developing the district court's security work and liaising with the police authority on security issues,
  • provide technical support during hearings and meetings,
  • have a comprehensive understanding of the district court's IT systems,
  • staff the reception,
  • manage access cards, alarms, and visitor routines,
  • daily contacts with parties, representatives, authorities, and the public.

Since we are a smaller court, the breadth of tasks is large, and it is natural for us to help each other.

About You

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • have a completed and approved high school education with a final grade/certificate or other education that the employer deems equivalent,
  • have a valid security guard authorization or meet the requirements and be willing to undergo the police's security guard training funded by the court. It is an absolute requirement that you attend and pass this training.   • be experienced in working with various IT systems,
  • have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have previous work experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • an administrative job that the employer deems relevant for the position,
  • IT/technical and/or security issues.

Part of the job involves receiving and assisting those who come to the district court and maintaining security in public areas during hearings. Therefore, it is important that you provide good service, are calm and secure as a person, and find it easy to handle people. For you, it is a given to collaborate and create a pleasant workplace. Since the role is broad, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy switching between practical and administrative work, handling changes in pace, and adapting to new circumstances. You are genuinely interested in administrative work, technical support, IT issues, and security work. You are good at organizing, planning, and prioritizing your tasks.

You have a very high sense of responsibility and very good judgment.

About Us

Gällivare District Court (link (https://www.domstol.se/gallivare-tingsratt/)) is Sweden's northernmost court. The number of employees is currently eleven people. The district court has a case department and an administrative department. The court adjudicates in criminal and civil cases and handles a large number of other types of cases. The catchment area includes the municipalities of Gällivare, Kiruna, and Jokkmokk.

The mission of the court and its staff is to uphold a legally secure and efficient administration of justice of high quality. Working with us is significant and fulfills one of society's most important functions.

The court is located in central Gällivare but also has hearing rooms in Kiruna.

Practical Information

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period, with a start date according to agreement.
