The adult psychiatry area in Malmö/Trelleborg is divided into four areas, focusing on general psychiatric inpatient care, general psychiatric outpatient care, addiction, and psychosis. Within the area, we have over 850 employees working together to provide good care for our patients. The general psychiatric inpatient care area consists of three wards and a step-down unit. Additionally, there is a large emergency reception, a psychiatric intensive care unit, an ECT unit, as well as administration and resource teams. Approximately 230 employees work within this area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary, you will work closely with doctors, other healthcare staff, and your colleagues in administration. You will be part of a wonderful team that helps and supports each other.

Your work primarily consists of organizing and structuring administrative tasks. Our operations are in constant development, and you will actively participate in improving routines and workflows. Responsibilities include writing medical records, administrative handling of involuntary care, referral management, mail handling, and working with registrations in Våps. Other administrative tasks and handling incoming cases via 1177 may arise, and weekend work may be required.

When you start, you will receive an introduction and shadowing tailored to your needs and circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have a recognized education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p KY/400p YH or equivalent education. If you also have supervisor training, it is an advantage. Additionally, you should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

For this position, we welcome both experienced candidates and recent graduates interested in our operations. We consider it an advantage if you have good computer skills and knowledge of Melior, Medspeech, Våps, and/or TIK.

As a person, you are meticulous and loyal, work with a service-oriented approach, and have a flexible attitude where you can quickly adapt when needed. An exciting, varied, and developing job appeals to you. Additionally, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams. We are facing some changes, so you must be comfortable and willing to actively contribute to this. We are keen to find the right person for the position and therefore place great importance on personal suitability.
