About us Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We assist patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological injuries and diseases. We also offer personal assistance. We are located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik in Solna, a combination of old barracks, new living rooms, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have extensive research and educational activities and a well-developed teamwork. We also have a clinic focused on MS in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Närsjukvård, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care wards, Basic home care, and Uppsala Närakut.
The Role We are looking for a personal assistant for a 35-year-old man who is in a wheelchair and has a spinal cord injury. As a personal assistant, your tasks will include supporting and helping him with his daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, assisting with meals, cleaning, and accompanying him on various activities. The client speaks for himself and lives with his partner and two children. The client values his personal and private time highly, so you as an assistant need to be able to be nearby while also being able to step back to allow for private life. Working hours will be scheduled during the day and on weekends.

About You We are looking for someone who is structured, organized, loyal, and attentive. You also care about providing good care and service with high quality. Through your engagement, professional approach, and communication skills, you create good relationships with the client and your colleagues, making you a significant employee for us. It is important that you act with common sense and have a strong customer focus. You need to have a well-developed sense of timing and understand when to be active and when to be passive in your work. You need to communicate clearly and be unpretentious about prioritizing the client's needs/space, as well as being able to handle a family with everyday tasks. Experience with catheters or knowledge of RIK is a plus.
Background You are a person with a strong interest in working with people. This role requires previous experience as a personal assistant and/or in healthcare and social services. A requirement for this position is that you master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.
Employment Conditions Employment type: Hourly employment / Fixed schedule / Daytime 8-17 + every other weekend 8-12. Scope: Part-time/Full-time Start date: Immediate Salary: Individual salary setting Collective agreement exists
