Insurance Officer with a focus on telephone support

Telephone, customer meetings, and guidance

As an insurance officer focusing on telephone support, you will work scheduled hours answering questions about sickness insurance, such as sickness benefits and rehabilitation compensation. Most inquiries come via phone, but general questions may also come via email. It is part of your job to document in our case management systems according to a given standard and with the support of guiding documents. You will be part of a team where you actively work to develop your skills and share experiences.

You are often the customer's first contact with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in case of illness. Therefore, you need to be interested in and good at quickly identifying the customer's needs and guiding them in our e-services. In this way, you help the customer gain an overview and feel secure in their contact with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. Each customer's situation is unique, and they should be met based on their specific needs. Therefore, you need to be attentive and respectful. Many of our customers are in a difficult situation in life, which may mean that some conversations can be challenging. In such cases, you need to show empathy while also being factual based on the conditions of the sickness insurance regulations.

As a new employee, you will receive introductory training and support from your manager, designated mentors, and various support functions, such as a specialist. Based on the organization's goals and assignments, you and your manager will also have a dialogue about your conditions and results.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a high school diploma or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • is service-oriented
  • has a systematic and meticulous work approach
  • is confident and trustworthy, even in stressful situations
  • has good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • works independently, takes initiative and responsibility
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.

It is meritorious if you

  • have experience with customer meetings via phone in a fast-paced work environment
  • are very comfortable working with multiple digital tools and self-service solutions simultaneously
  • speak more languages than Swedish and English.

Several positions available, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment.
