The office is part of the staff at the municipal management administration. The office employs, among others, business developers, quality controllers, administrators, strategists, coordinators, and secretaries. In other words, the office has a broad area of responsibility and works with the entire municipal group as a point of contact.

The municipal management administration supports three committees: the Municipal Executive Board, the Building and Environmental Committee, and the Community Building Committee. The administration employs approximately 135 employees and is divided into areas of staff, building and environment, and community building and growth.

A day as an investigative secretary at the office

The position is organized under the office at the municipal management administration, but most of the work will be performed on behalf of the Department of Children and Education. Tasks included in the position are, among others:

• Work with committee administration before, during, and after political meetings.
• Provide support to politicians and civil servants in the committee process.
• Develop analyses and investigations as decision-making support for management and politics.
• Participate in collaboration meetings with other committees, internal cooperation networks, and trade unions.
• Work as a registrar and archive manager for the Department of Children and Education.

As the position is partially new in its design, there will be an opportunity to shape the work content to some extent.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university or college education focused on public administration, law, social sciences, or other higher education or experience that we consider equivalent.

It is advantageous if you have experience with similar tasks and if you have good knowledge of the legislation that is central to the assignment, including the Local Government Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and the Education Act.

As a person, you are solution-focused and meticulous, comfortable taking your own initiatives, and thrive in a supportive and service-oriented role.

It is important that you have good communication and collaboration skills as the work involves many different points of contact.

Permanent employment at 100%, with start date by agreement.
