Support Assistant at Klåva Gårdsväg 2
Klåva Gårdsväg 2 is a residence with special services for individuals with a combination of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

About the Job
As a support assistant, you place the individual’s needs, abilities, and interests at the center and support the user in their daily life and their right to self-determination. You work norm-creative and innovatively with motivation to promote the development of the user's own resources. Together with the users, you work to provide the best possible conditions for an independent life with high quality of life. You work based on individually established implementation plans.
We use methods such as Independent Life (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), low-arousal approach, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The work includes social documentation, key worker responsibilities, and collaboration with both internal and external parties who are key persons in the user's life. At Klåva Gårdsväg, there is also a method supervisor whose task is to support the operations and you as staff.
We want to create groups where employees' strengths are utilized correctly and contribute to a work environment where there is openness and where discussions are solution-focused.
The work will be scheduled for days, evenings, and three out of six weekends. We use Multiaccess for scheduling.
We also work with ARP, which means you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other residences focused on psychiatry.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Recreation program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also fulfilled if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. For the position, several years of experience in the psychiatric field is required.
Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. This means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
It is advantageous if you have training in ESL (Independent Life), MI (Motivational Interviewing), and/or AAC (Augmentative Communication).
You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role, starting from everyone's equal value and creating a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have an open and positive attitude as you have the user's/customer's needs as the starting point for your actions. You have the ability to share information and ideas, both orally and in writing. You express the core of an argument clearly and effectively. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.
You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.
A driver's license and driving experience are required.
