Sanda Assistans was founded in Sandared by our CEO Betty Olsson. We have grown a bit over the years, but our heart remains in the right place. I am a 34-year-old man living in Tvärred with my partner, our son, and two cats. I am usually a happy and active person who wants to do most of what I feel like as long as I have the energy and strength. My son is my highest priority, and I want to be as involved as I can. This means, among other things, that I, with the help of an assistant, pick him up from preschool in the afternoons as often as I can. It is therefore important that you like children and feel comfortable handling them or are positive about trying to become comfortable with it.

Examples of other things I enjoy doing include going outside, exercising, cooking, baking, watching football, listening to music, etc. I also like to have some personal time sometimes. I need help with most things in my daily life. Everything from engaging in my interests to putting on and taking off clothes, going to the toilet, or showering.

I have no problems communicating verbally and in writing. I can stand with the help of aids and I have all the aids I need such as a wheelchair, power wheelchair, slide board, shower chair, walker, and lift. I have my own car that I can drive myself and also have transportation services. I have a muscle disease called FSHD in a severe form. FSHD affects almost all muscles in the body, gets weaker over time, and causes chronic pain. I also become mentally tired easily due to living with the physical conditions and limitations that the disease imposes.

I am looking for assistants who want to work daytime 07:00-17:30 primarily Monday-Friday, with possible requests for weekend work. I hope that you who apply are a perceptive person who can take instructions. It is a plus if you are of a similar age to me, but it is not a requirement as personality is what matters.
